The Gallery
The gallery space at okusendō spans approximately 750 square feet over three rooms on the ground floor.
The gallery is situated in a historic house in the Westmoreland Historic District. The neighborhood is filled with oak-lined streets and many historic homes including the childhood home of President Lyndon B Johnson and the Waldo Mansion, a location used in the film Terms of Endearment.
The house has original hardwood floors in a warm stain, white walls, adjustable track lighting, sliding pocket doors that can be closed or open to route visitors, and many large windows that fill the space with natural light. There is a public restroom on the first floor accessible from one of the gallery spaces.
At the back of the ground floor is a remodeled kitchen that can be used for catering events.
